‘But now he’s a disgusting, bad-tempered plagiarist who’s even more up his own bottom than Harry Markle. Many people are surprised by this seemingly sudden turn of events. But I’m not.’

Jeremy added: ‘When there are hot and cold running assistants eager to indulge your every whim it’s very easy to become a monster.’

Clarkson, who hosted Top Gear, has had a professional run-in with Corden when The Late Late Show presenter appeared as a ‘celebrity guest’ in 2016.

James drove the Reasonably Priced Car during the segment, and in his Sunday Times, column, revealed that behind the scenes, the Top Gear team would mark each celebrity in how rude they were and how many others were in their ‘entourage’.

Jeremy recalled that he could not remember anything about James so he ‘couldn’t have been that bad’.

On another occasion, Jeremy says he saw James and his wife Julia Carey – adding that it ‘all seemed very convivial’.

MailOnline has contacted James’ representatives for comment.

Since then, he has also been called out for seemingly stealing jokes from comedians, such as fellow UK native Ricky Gervais, and performing them on his CBS late-night talk show.

The Tony Award winner recently apologised to the ‘brilliant’ Ricky and claimed his plagiarism was ‘inadvertent.’

DailyMail.com revealed on Wednesday that Great British Bake Off’s Noel Fielding has now accused Corden of plagiarizing his 2010 ‘whisper’ joke in an episode of The Late Late Show in 2017.

Jeremy went on to write: ‘We can all become exasperated when things don’t go to plan on a night out. But why did James order an egg yolk omelette when it wasn’t on the menu? It’s a sign of c*** flu madness.’

The Who Wants To Be Millionaire host admitted to seeing diva behaviour like James’ she filmed ‘Star In A Reasonably Priced Car’ feature on BBC Two’s Top Gear – alongside Richard Hammond and James May, with whom he now presents The Grand Tour on Amazon Prime Video.

James addressed the drama on the CBS talk show – which he is leaving in summer next year – and admitted he was ‘ungracious’ to the wait staff at the French bistro, prompting his banishment by the Soho restaurateur Keith McNally.

He said: ‘Because I didn’t shout or scream, I didn’t get up out of my seat, I didn’t call anyone names or use derogatory language, I’ve been walking around thinking that I haven’t done anything wrong.

‘But the truth is I have made a rude, rude comment. And it was wrong. It was an unnecessary comment, it was ungracious to the server.’

The Great British Bake Off and Mighty Boosh star tweeted the allegation when a fan claimed Mr Corden ‘totally stole’ his joke about distracting an armed robber by whispering.
