“Some will contend that his new Cabinet will control him. I simply note that his past Cabinet didn’t — or couldn’t — do as such,” he proceeded.

Major proposed that Johnson could leave as head of the state, and Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab could act as acting top state leader until another pioneer is chosen. One more situation he proposed was for Conservative MPs to choose another pioneer to be introduced as state leader, and afterward party individuals could later support the new pioneer.

“Neither of these choices is great, however the interests of the nation should be given need over all else and, with such countless long haul and basic issues before us, a creative reaction even at the gamble of a few wounded sentiments inside the party — is undoubtedly in the public interest,” he closed.
