Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade – State Street from Lake to Van Buren
The Arts in the Dark Halloween Parade is the grand finale of the city’s Halloweek Program! It steps off Saturday at 6 p.m. along State Street from Lake to Van Buren. This dazzling production includes unique floats, spectacle puppets and creative performances!
Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade – Belmont and Halsted
There will be no shortage of amazing and unique costumes at the Haunted Halsted Halloween Parade! It steps off Monday night at 7:30 p.m. and features dance performances, drag queens, parents, pets, kids and a costume contest in 5 categories!
BatFest – Downtown Batavia
For family fun check out Batfest, in Downtown Batavia! From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. they’ll have trick or treating, a magician and balloon art, a Halloween Parade, a reptile show and of course, a live bat meet and greet!
Streeterville Dog Halloween Party – MCA Sculpture Garden
The 35th annual Halloween Costume Party and Parade steps off at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Museum of Contemporary Art Sculpture Garden. Prizes will be awarded to the best-dressed pup!
Halloween at Navy Pier
There’s so much going on at Navy Pier this weekend, the big finale of Pier Pumpkin Lights! There’s the Slightly Spooky Saturday today, with trick or treating at 30 different candy stations. They’ll also have live performances and Dog Costume Contest. The Amazing Maze has been transformed into the Haunted Maze, and for the 21 and older crowd, there’s Offshore Rooftop’s Nightmare Halloween Party tonight from 8 p.m. to midnight!
Día de lost Muertos Xicágo – National Museum of Mexican Art
There’s no better way to celebrate Día de los Muertos than at the National Museum of Mexican Art’s Día de los Muertos Xicágo! Saturday afternoon the museum and its surroundings will be filled with ofrendas created by community members, live music, art activities and a large illuminated ofrenda projected outside the museum.
Me…Jane – Northwestern University, Evanston
On the theatre beat, Northwestern University’s Imagine U – theater for young audiences is featuring Me…Jane, the story of conservationist Jane Goodall, told from her perspective as a child! Performances are this weekend and next.
Camelot – North Shore Center, Skokie
And return to magic and majesty at the North Shore Center of Performing for Performing Arts with the classic musical Camelot! Presented by Music Theater Works, it runs through November 13.
Harvest Fest – Shafer Park, 9000 S. Mackinaw
Celebrate Harvest Fest with Urban Growers Collective with several activities today at their south Chicago farm at 9000 S. Mackinaw! The day begins with a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk at 10 a.m. Then enjoy Halloween festivities including pumpkin painting, face painting, and a farm tour. Top it off with Trunk or Treat, a costume contest and more from 3 to 5 p.m.
